Women's Entrepreneurship Program | South Africa
Jen and her GoGirl Worldwide organization has teamed with Jeunesse Global to provide opportunities for women to start their own home-based, global business. Our Foundation provides the initial start-up capital for an individual in South Africa to successfully launch their business ($295 for one woman). GoGirl Worldwide provides ongoing training, tools and support for the entrepreneurs to build and grow their business. Once the female entrepreneur has built a successful business, she is encouraged to "Pay-It-Forward" to another woman and sponsor her start-up capital.
In South Africa the rich are very rich and the poor are starving. Minimum wage is $1.25 USD.
The Women's Entrepreneurship Program will provide women a solid opportunity to make a strong income, and help to break the cycle of poverty.
A group of young women called Wubawuman (Wuba means "I Saw Beauty) led by Carine Goldsmith and Michaela Lara, will help roll out the program in South Africa. Carine and Michaela are both citizens of the country , struggling single mothers, and are passionate about making a change in their life, the life of other women and their country as a whole.
Jennifer and the GoGirl team will work closely with Carine and Michaela, as they build an organization of empowering women, who "Pay-It-Forward".
